 We’re excited to share with you details about our next outdoor event! If you’d like to participate as a volunteer, please send us an e-mail.  Thanks!

 GARDEN DAY PROJECT:

1. Volunteers needed to ready the gardens for spring:  9a – 1p

Novice gardeners welcome.  Projects include: clearing, trimming, pruning, dividing, composting & mulching. Bring garden tools, labeled with your name, if you have them:  gloves, rakes, shovels, and pruning shears. 

 KIDS ACTIVITIES:

1. Sport Activities with Mr Marlon:  10 a – 11:30 a
2. Yoga for kids!: 12:30 p – 1:30 p
3. Seed Bomb craft project for your garden – all day
4. Toy Swap (no books or clothes pls) – all day
5. Inside look into the homes of worms, ants and lady bugs – all day
6. Terra Tea and Fair Trade: Learn more about Fair Trade & play a Recycling Game  - all day
7. Enjoy the sounds of live music from Parents Who Rock (time TBD) and percussions

 INFORMATIONAL TABLES:

3. Dina Aronson RD – Nutritionist will help with healthy snack/meal ideas and more!

SALE, RAFFLE, PRIZING ITEMS:

1. Plants/Herbs – Pick up pre-sold plants/herbs (some plants/herbs available that day)
2. Scholastic Book Sale – Theme of books “Around the World” (2N Gym)

4. “Must Have” Montclair T-Shirts for kids and adults!
5. Baggu Bags – The reusable bag where fashion meets function!  As seen in InStyle, Lucky, Real Simple, Martha Stewart magazines and more!

7. Greenraising.com – Discover what other items you might need for your home
8. Raffle Items – We’ll be raffling off a few goodies

FOOD & DRINKS:

1. Garden Day Pizza  - Lunch provided for volunteers working in the garden
2. For all visitors, we’ll have a visit from the Cuban restaurant – 11:30 a – 1:00 p

The Parent Association (PA) is a parent run group that conducts many activities throughout the year.  We organize fundraising events to benefit the Pre-K's future programs and we create events that bring the families of the school together.  The true purpose of all these activities goes beyond fundraising and fun afternoons.  The real purpose is community, which is the heart of the Montclair Community Pre-K.  When families come together on a Saturday afternoon or when our children see their parents working together at the Bake Sale, they get a sense of what true community is all about.  It’s about working together for a common purpose and sharing their strength with each other.  That is a lesson that the students will carry with them for the rest of their lives.  And it starts here at the Montclair Community Pre-K!

 As parents, we invite you to be a part of our events and activities and be a part of this wonderful experience.
